Ultra3000™ Digital Servo Drive

The Ultra3000 family provides one global solution through its complete set of servo drive products ranging from simple standalone indexing applications to multi-axis integrated motion. Ranging from 110V to 460V power input, these high-performance, digital servo drives meet global voltage requirements and provide flexibility to perform in a variety of machine control architectures. In addition, the Ultra3000 drive is integrated with the ControlLogix platform via SERCOS interface for integrated motion. The Ultra3000i digital servo drive with indexing adds basic stand-alone control capability to the Ultra3000 feature set.
The Ultra3000 family is currently available from 7.5A to 150A peak current in the 230V platform and 14A to 94A peak current in the 460V platform. Additionally, all power sizes are available with indexing, SERCOS interface and DeviceNet networking options.

Kinetix 6000 Multi-Axis Servo Drive

The new Kinetix™ 6000 multi-axis servo drive combines advanced control capability with innovative design features to significantly improve system performance while saving time and money. Designed to make wiring, programming, operation and diagnostics faster and easier, the Kinetix 6000 can decrease OEM engineering and installation time while adding flexibility for demanding motion applications. In addition, the Kinetix 6000 features a compact size to allow convenient placement in machinery. The smaller module size, combined with other space-saving design features, result in drive enclosures that are up to 50 percent smaller than those required for competing drives. And, Kinetix 6000 effectively meets worldwide motion control needs by handling all global voltage requirements.

Ultra5000™ Intelligent Positioning Drive

The Ultra5000 Intelligent Positioning Drive is one of the latest additions to the popular Ultra Series of digital servo drives. The Ultra5000 is a high performance, compact, programmable positioning servo drive that combines performance and flexibility to satisfy the most advanced motion applications. The Ultra5000 is strategically positioned to accommodate stand-alone single axis applications through its high speed DSP processing, standard ANSI C programming language and on-board I/O and communication capabilities. Adding to the Complete Automation model, the Ultra5000 provides a high performance and cost effective single axis of intelligent motion control.

Control Logix Motion Control

ControlLogix employs synchronized, distributed processing to provide a motion solution offering heightened performance and integration. The ControlLogix 5555 controller executes ladder-based motion commands and a motion trajectory planner while the 2-axis Analog/Encoder Servo or 8-, or 16-axis SERCOS interface module executes a fine planner and closes a position and velocity loop. Benefits of the approach include:

• Common execution of motion and sequential commands on the ControlLogix 5555 controller for complete synchronization of sequential and motion control
• Fast 200 microsecond fine planner, position loop and velocity loop closure for all axes in a ControlLogix chassis to provide precise motor position and velocity control
• Modular processing, including the ability to add ControlLogix 5555 controllers to the ControlLogix chassis, for additional processing power as needed
• Control of up to 32 axes from a single ControlLogix 5555 controller application program
• Support for Servo, Position only, Consumed and Virtual axis types
• Ability to fully synchronize axes across multiple ControlLogix5555 controllers
