Distributed I/O

1734 POINT I/O Modules

POINT I/O modules offer 2 or 4 I/O each. The I/O modules are interfaced to a network thru a communication interface, which includes a built-in power supply that converts incoming 24V dc power to 5V dc backplane power. Each type of communication interface supports a maximum of 12 powered I/O modules, with a maximum of 10A field power. The I/O modules receive power from the power-supply thru the backplane. Using multiple expansion power units, a POINT I/O assembly can be expanded up to a maximum of 63 I/O modules or 252 channels.

1734D POINTBlock I/O Modules

1734D Series POINTBlock I/O provides a DeviceNet communication interface with up to 16 integrated I/O points in a single module. You can add up to 12 I/O modules to a POINTBlock I/O assembly, for a maximum of 64 channels per assembly.

1793 FLEX Integra and 1794 FLEX I/O

These products provide a compact modular I/O assembly that is flexible in its physical configuration.
FLEX I/O modules (1794) offer 4 thru 32 I/O each. FLEX Integra I/O modules (1793) offer 2, 4, or 16 I/O each. You can combine FLEX Integra I/O modules (1793) and FLEX I/O modules (1794) in the same assembly. You can plug together a maximum of 8 I/O modules (1793 and/or 1794) into a FLEX I/O assembly, for a maximum of 256 I/O per assembly. The I/O modules are interfaced to the I/O link thru an I/O adapter module with a built-in 24V-dc-input power supply. The I/O modules receive power from the adapter/power-supply thru the backplane. The 120/230V-ac-to-24V-dc power supply (1794-PS13) is also available for powering the adapter/power-supply.

1791D, 1791R, 1791P CompactBlock I/O Blocks

A CompactBlock I/O block contains a maximum of 16 digital I/O circuits. A base block also contains a built-in network adapter. An expansion block includes I/O circuits only. A base block supports one expansion block, for up to 32 I/O points per node. DeviceNet base blocks include DeviceLogix Smart Component Technology.
The DeviceNet network supplies power to the DeviceNet base blocks and expansion blocks. A separate external 24V dc power supply is required for Universal Remote I/O and PROFIBUS DP base blocks and expansion blocks. Inputs and outputs are powered by an external 24V dc source which is independent of the network. Expansion blocks are compatible with all base blocks.

1792D ArmorBlock MaXum and High-Current ArmorBlock I/O Blocks

1792D ArmorBlock MaXumTM and High-Current ArmorBlockTM I/O blocks are compact, machine-mountable blocks for monitoring and controlling I/O in locations remote from the processor.

Advantages

- Distributed I/O at locations remote from the processor can be connected across DeviceNet I/O links.
- Sealed housing rated for IP67, and NEMA 4X and 6P eliminate enclosure costs.
- Low installation cost and easy to replace without rewiring, because industry-standard mini-connectors are used for connection to the DeviceNet network and output-circuit power supply; and micro-connectors are used for connection to each sensor or actuator.
- Point-level diagnostics simplify troubleshooting.
- Only active device that connects directly to the DeviceNet KwiklinkTM flat media system.
- Isolated auxiliary power maintains power to the block if main power fails so that you can have the option of holding outputs in their last state
- Outputs electronically protected from failing with option to auto-restart or latch off.
- Complies with Open DeviceNet Vendor Association, Inc. (O.D.V.A.) conformance test software.
- DeviceLogixTM Smart Component Technology lets you control outputs and manage status information locally, within the block.
